I was born in the Northwest of England near the border of Cheshire and Derbyshire. My Mother had been an incredible Christian lady and as a result I was bought up serving our community by helping older ladies. These values of service to our community, supporting others and charitable work have been a massive part of my life and underpin Moving Made Easy.
We returned to beautiful Aotearoa New Zealand in 2006, having lived here some years earlier. Upon our return, helping older people to reorganise, pack and move on a voluntary basis became an increasingly large part of my life as we started to grow Moving Made Easy. Initially this was alongside my career in education involving Autistic children, psychology, and historical pedagogical research.
My son Tom studied Architecture at the University of Auckland where he now works, this includes teaching and supervision in Architecture. As you can imagine, his training and specialist skills are priceless within our wonderful family business.
Moving Made Easy provides us the opportunity to help serve our local community which is an important part of our business culture. As a strongly eco-conscious business we pride ourselves on ensuring that we work hard to support and protect our environment, including tree planting.
We work extensively in the home sale preparation field as this is a vital element in securing a favourable sale in a continually competitive and fluid housing market.
